Police search for missing Bronx man last seen Thursday

NEW YORK — The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s help in locating a 62-year-old man who has been reported missing in the Bronx. The man, Vilktor Dematteo, was last seen on Thursday, September 26, leaving his residence at 863 East 222nd Street around 4:30 p.m., according to police.

Dematteo is described as a Black male, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall, weighing 130 pounds. He has a salt-and-pepper afro and was last seen wearing a gray sweatshirt and black pants, police said.

Authorities are urging anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact them. Dematteo resides within the 47th Precinct, and the search for him is ongoing.
