MILLSBORO, Del. — Delaware State Police arrested a 67-year-old Millsboro man on Tuesday for his fifth DUI offense after a traffic stop in the Long Neck area. The suspect, identified as Craig Kayfield, was taken into custody after officers observed signs of impairment during the stop.

The incident occurred around 7:42 p.m. on October 1, 2024, when a state trooper patrolling Long Neck Road saw a Ford E-250 van swerving across the center line near Oyster Road. After witnessing another traffic violation, the trooper pulled the vehicle over. Kayfield, the driver, displayed signs of impairment and was unable to complete Standardized Field Sobriety Tests.

A background check revealed that Kayfield had four previous DUI convictions. He was arrested and transported to Troop 7, where he was charged with felony DUI for a fifth offense, along with driving with a suspended license, failure to have required insurance, and failure to remain in a single lane.

Kayfield was arraigned at Justice of the Peace Court 2 and committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on a $5,150 secured bond.
