Teen assaulted near Yankee Stadium, suspects at large

BRONX, N.Y. — A 19-year-old man was seriously injured during a physical altercation near Yankee Stadium on Tuesday night, according to police.

The incident occurred at approximately 10:50 p.m. in the vicinity of 1 East 161st Street. Two unidentified individuals struck the victim in the face, leaving him with a broken jaw and an orbital fracture.

EMS responded to the scene and transported the victim to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln, where he was listed in stable condition.

The suspects fled on foot following the assault. The first individual is described as a male with a light complexion and slim build, last seen wearing a gray jacket, white shirt, black shorts, and white sneakers. The second individual, also described as a male with a light complexion and slim build, was last seen wearing a blue hat, white shirt, gray shorts, and white sneakers.

Police are continuing to investigate and search for the suspects.
