Wilkes-Barre Police Arrest Local Man on Drug-Related Charges

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Wilkes-Barre City Police Department announced they arrested a 38-year-old Wilkes-Barre resident on Tuesday morning for possession of a controlled substance following an active warrant.

The incident occurred on South Main Street when officers on patrol observed Michael Moore standing outside a business. The officers, aware of an active warrant issued against Moore by the department, approached him. Following a search, they discovered suspected narcotics and drug paraphernalia on his person.

After taking Moore into custody without incident at approximately 10:16 a.m., the officers transported him to City Headquarters. There, he was processed and later arraigned on the charges.
