Woman slashed on 50th Street subway platform, suspect at large

MANHATTAN, N.Y. — A 28-year-old woman was slashed while waiting on the northbound “C” train platform at the 50th Street subway station early Tuesday morning, police reported.

The assault occurred at approximately 3:10 a.m., when an unidentified individual approached the woman and attacked her with an unknown cutting instrument. The suspect fled the station on foot following the incident.

The victim sustained a laceration to her torso and was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue, where she is in stable condition.

Authorities are investigating the attack and have not yet identified the suspect. The investigation is ongoing.
