Man sought for assault with brick in Brownsville

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — An 18-year-old man was assaulted late Friday night, September 13, in the Brownsville section of Brooklyn after a verbal dispute escalated into violence, police said. The incident occurred around 11:39 p.m. near the intersection of Pitkin Avenue and Watkins Street.

According to authorities, the unidentified individual struck the victim in the face with a brick before fleeing the scene on foot, heading eastbound on Pitkin Avenue. The victim was transported by EMS to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was treated in stable condition.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a black Nike ski mask and a blue Nike sweatsuit.

The investigation is ongoing, and police are asking for any information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts.
