Two arrested in Gambrills on drug and handgun charges

GAMBRILLS, Md. — Two men were arrested early Wednesday after a traffic stop in Gambrills led to the discovery of drugs and firearms, according to police.

At approximately 12:30 a.m. on October 2, detectives in the area of Florida Place and California Terrace observed individuals acting suspiciously inside a vehicle. A K-9 unit was called to the scene, and a scan of the vehicle indicated the presence of drugs.

Following the alert, detectives conducted a search of the vehicle and found a revolver, a handgun, small amounts of cocaine, cannabis, and drug paraphernalia. Police arrested two men at the scene.

The suspects, identified as Rodrecus Medley, 31, of Glen Burnie, and Javonte Stansbury, 28, of Odenton, were charged with drug and handgun violations.

The investigation is ongoing, and police have not released further details about the arrests.
