19-Year-Old Brooklyn Man Killed in North Jersey Motorcycle Crash

LINDEN, N.J. — A 19-year-old man from Brooklyn was killed in a motorcycle crash on Route 1 late Thursday night, according to Linden police.

Officers responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m. after receiving reports of a collision involving a motorcycle. Preliminary reports indicate that the motorcyclist, who was riding a 2022 BMW motorcycle, was traveling south on I-278 when it collided with a 2012 Ford F150 pickup truck. The pickup was making a turnaround to travel north at the Phillips 66 Domestic Trades entrance.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene. No other injuries were reported in the crash.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation. Authorities have asked anyone with information to contact the Linden Police Traffic Bureau at (908) 474-8505.
