Bicyclist Fatally Injured in Atlantic City Crash

Atlantic City, NJ- The Atlantic City Police Department is currently investigating a fatal crash that involved a vehicle and an electric bicycle. The incident occurred on Wednesday and resulted in the death of the bicyclist.

Patrol officers responded at 12:59 PM to the 100 block of north Maryland, where they encountered the severely injured 57-year-old male bicyclist from Atlantic City. Despite receiving medical attention from the Atlantic City Fire Department and other medical personnel, the bicyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.

The 40-year-old female driver from Mount Laurel, NJ remained at the crash site and is cooperating with the police investigation. Presently, no charges have been filed against the driver.

The Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office is collaborating with the police department in this ongoing investigation. Authorities are urging anyone who witnessed the crash or has relevant information to reach out to the Accident Investigations Section by calling 609-347-5744 or texting tip411 (847411), beginning the text with ACPD. All communications will remain anonymous.
