Three family members including two children found dead in Woodbridge house fire

WOODBRIDGE, Va. — Three members of a family were found dead following a house fire early Friday morning in Woodbridge, according to police.

Officers responded to the fire at approximately 5:55 a.m. in the 15700 block of Piedmont Place. Fire and Rescue personnel discovered the bodies of three unaccounted-for family members inside the home after extinguishing the blaze.

The victims were identified as 49-year-old Sameena Begum, a 13-year-old male juvenile, and an 8-year-old boy, all of Woodbridge. No other injuries were reported in the incident.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the fire, as well as the cause and manner of death. However, police said the deaths do not initially appear to be suspicious.
