Scooter’s Bar & Grill in New Milford Closing After Years of Service, Owner Announces

Scooter’s Bar & Grill, a beloved spot at 507 Danbury Road in New Milford, is closing its doors for good. Owner Vilson Vataj made the heartfelt announcement in a Facebook post, explaining his decision to step away from the restaurant to focus on other business ventures and spend more time with his family.

“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce the closing of Scooter’s this Monday, Oct. 7,” Vataj wrote. “The support from this community over the years has meant the world to me, and I’ll never forget the memories we’ve created together.”

Scooter’s has been a popular gathering place for locals, and Vataj expressed his gratitude for the friendships and connections formed over the years. While this chapter is coming to an end, he hinted that he might still be around the Connecticut area in the future.

The community is invited to stop by over the weekend to celebrate the restaurant’s final days. Vataj’s message was filled with appreciation for the years of support, and many patrons are expected to gather one last time to say goodbye to the cherished neighborhood spot.
