Pennsylvania Man Who Killed Dad, Posted Decapitated Head on YouTube Arraigned For Murder

MIDDLETOWN TOWNSHIP, Pa. — Justin Mohn, 32, was formally arraigned Friday on charges including first-degree murder in the killing of his father, Michael F. Mohn, 68, at their home in January.

The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office also filed aggravating circumstances in the case, allowing prosecutors the option to pursue the death penalty if Mohn is convicted of first-degree murder. The aggravator cited is the commission of the murder during a felony.

Mohn, of Upper Orchard Drive, faces multiple charges, including two counts of terrorism and possession of an instrument of crime, as well as robbery, firearms violations, and abuse of a corpse. Investigators say he killed his father on Jan. 30, shooting him in the head before decapitating him with a machete and a knife.

Police were alerted to a video Mohn posted on YouTube, where he is seen holding his father’s decapitated head. In the video, Mohn called for violent attacks against federal employees, including listing specific officials as targets.

Mohn’s next court date is scheduled for later this month.
