Carjacker on the Run After Holding Victim at Gunpoint in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C.— Police are searching for a suspect involved in an armed carjacking that took place in Northeast D.C. last Tuesday evening.

The incident occurred around 5:03 p.m. on October 1 in the 400 block of 9th Street, Northeast. One of the suspects approached the victim, brandished a firearm, and demanded the victim’s car keys and cell phone. After the victim complied, the suspects fled the scene in the stolen vehicle.

Authorities are asking for assistance in identifying the suspect, who was captured on surveillance footage. Anyone with information is urged to contact (202) 727-9099 or text 50411. A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information leading to an arrest and conviction.
