Albany Man Sentenced for 1995 Sing Sing Stabbing

Albany, NY- An Albany man received a 20-year prison sentence for the fatal 1995 stabbing of Michael Jones. The incident occurred when both men were inmates at Sing Sing Correctional Facility in Ossining.

Westchester County District Attorney Rocah credited the success to diligent investigators and prosecutors. She acknowledged the effort to hold accountable those responsible for the death of Jones on Christmas Eve nearly 30 years ago.

The recent sentencing reflects one of several outcomes from the DA’s Office. DA Rocah had initiated the Cold Case Bureau in 2021, focusing on solving over 130 unresolved homicide cases in Westchester County.
