Attempted robbery in Brooklyn parking lot under investigation

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — Police are investigating an attempted robbery that took place Wednesday afternoon in the parking lot of a commercial establishment on Hamilton Avenue.

At approximately 3:20 p.m., a 26-year-old man was seated inside his vehicle at 550 Hamilton Avenue when an unidentified man and woman approached, police said. The male suspect opened the passenger door, entered the vehicle, and demanded the victim’s belongings while appearing to brandish a firearm.

The suspect grabbed the victim’s wallet and cell phone but dropped both items when the victim began yelling for help, according to the report. Both suspects fled the scene, and their whereabouts are currently unknown.

The victim was not injured during the incident. No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
