NYCHA employee arrested on assault and harassment charges in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA) employee was arrested Saturday morning in Brooklyn, police said. Jasper Mixon, 30, was taken into custody at approximately 8:40 a.m. within the confines of the 79th Precinct.

Mixon, an NYCHA employee, faces charges of assault in the third degree and harassment in the second degree. The circumstances surrounding the arrest have not been disclosed, and it is unclear if the incident was work-related.

Authorities have not provided additional details at this time.
