4-year-old boy found dead inside home in Harlem

HARLEM, N.Y. — A 4-year-old boy was found unconscious and later pronounced dead on Sunday evening inside a residence on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 7:42 p.m. and discovered the child unresponsive at a home on Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Blvd, within the confines of the NYPD’s 32nd Precinct.

Emergency medical services transported the boy to Harlem Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. Authorities have taken a person of interest into custody, though no further details have been released.

The identity of the child is being withheld pending family notification, and the investigation remains ongoing.
