GOP Blogger Says Democrat Female Candidate Used Filter During Zoom Debate

Matt Rooney, a GOP blogger, recently raised eyebrows on Twitter by accusing Sue Altman, the Democratic candidate in New Jersey’s 7th Congressional District, of using a filter during a Zoom debate.

Rooney claimed that Altman’s appearance in the debate didn’t look like her usual self and joked that it seemed like the Democrats had “swapped out” their candidate.

This comment came after a tense debate between Altman and her Republican opponent, Tom Kean Jr., as the two vie for the hotly contested NJ-07 seat.

The debate, hosted by former Bridgegate architect David Wildstein and streamed on platforms like Facebook and YouTube, has gained attention, not just for the political discussions but now also for Rooney’s viral accusation.

The post, however, has not been substantiated with any clear evidence that a filter was used, making it more of a snarky commentary than a confirmed fact, but Altman looked different in the video, with many joking that the Democrats had swapped out another candidate.
