Police investigating attempted robbery at Glen Burnie Dash In

GLEN BURNIE, Md. — Authorities are searching for a suspect following an attempted robbery at the Dash In convenience store on Ritchie Highway early Saturday morning.

At approximately 7:00 a.m. on October 12, a man entered the store, removed a drink from the cooler, and proceeded behind the counter. According to police, the suspect brandished a knife and demanded that the store clerk open the cash drawer. The clerk, however, locked the drawer and fled to the back of the store. The suspect unsuccessfully attempted to pry open the drawer before leaving the store, heading in the direction of the nearby Red Roof Inn.

Officers searched the area but were unable to locate the suspect, described as a white male in his 50s, wearing a gray sleeveless shirt and gray shorts.
