Severn man arrested after firing shots at ride-share driver

SEVERN, Md. — A 20-year-old man was arrested early Saturday morning after allegedly firing several gunshots at a ride-share driver during an argument in Severn.

Officers responded to the incident at approximately 3:00 a.m. on October 12 in the 1800 block of Eagle Court. According to investigators, an argument erupted between Kymoni Quantay Turner, 20, and a 28-year-old male ride-share driver after the driver declined Turner’s ride request. Turner reportedly threatened to rob and shoot the driver, who drove away as Turner fired several shots in his direction. The driver was able to escape without injury.

Police located Turner at his residence in the 1800 block of Eagle Court and arrested him without further incident. Turner now faces charges related to the shooting.

The investigation is ongoing.
