22-year-old man fatally stabbed in Bronx, investigation ongoing

BRONX, N.Y. — A 22-year-old man was fatally stabbed early Tuesday morning in the Bronx, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call at approximately 2:27 a.m. near East 178th Street and Bryant Avenue, in the 48th Precinct.

Upon arrival, police found the victim unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from multiple stab wounds to the chest, abdomen, back, and arm. Emergency Medical Services transported the man to Saint Barnabas Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity, pending notification of his family. As of Tuesday, no arrests had been made.

The investigation remains ongoing as detectives work to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
