Hit-and-Run Incident in Bayonne Under Investigation

Bayonne, NJ – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run accident in Bayonne that left a pedestrian critically injured on Sunday.

Bayonne Police Department was alerted to the incident at around 12:20 a.m. The collision occurred at the intersection of Route 440 and 22nd Street.

Upon arrival, officers found a 25-year-old male resident of Bayonne with life-threatening injuries. He was transported to Jersey City Medical Center and remains in critical condition. The vehicle involved fled the scene.

The Hudson County Regional Collision Investigation Unit is leading the investigation with support from Bayonne Police. Information related to the incident can be reported to the Hudson County Prosecutor’s Office at 201-915-1345.
