Stamford Police Investigate Fatal Shooting at Super 8 Hotel

Stamford, CT—The Stamford Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting that occurred on Monday morning at the Super 8 Hotel located at 32 Grenhardt Road. Officers responded to the scene at approximately 10:40 a.m. after receiving a report of the incident.

Upon arrival, police found 59-year-old Angel Samaniego, a Stamford resident, who had sustained a gunshot wound. Emergency Medical Services personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.

The investigation into the shooting remains active and ongoing. Authorities are urging anyone with information to contact Sgt. Luis Serna of the Major Crimes Unit at 203-977-4417. Additionally, the public can submit confidential tips by texting “StamfordPD” followed by the tip to 847411 (Tip411).

Police are asking for the public’s help as they continue to gather information on this case.
