Retail Theft Incident Leads to Arrest in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a retail theft incident at 15 South Main Street on October 15th at 2:29 PM. Officers were called to the scene following a report of stolen merchandise.

Upon arrival, police officers spoke with Loss Prevention Personnel. They reported observing defendant Blake Mackesy, 52, from Kingston, PA, entering a dressing room with a cart full of items.

Mackesy was later seen exiting the dressing room with a shopping bag containing the selected items from the cart. He then left the store without making payment.

Loss prevention detained Mackesy, who was subsequently taken into custody and transported for processing. The value of the stolen goods totaled $619.
