Man Injured in Toms River Motorcycle Crash Named Honorary Secaucus Police Officer

Secaucus, NJ – Dawson Palmarini has been appointed an Honorary Secaucus Police Officer and Chief for a day. His objective is to visit every police department, firehouse, and EMS agency in New Jersey. This mission began after a motorcycle accident on July 20, 2019, in Toms River, which resulted in a traumatic brain injury and a four-month coma.

Palmarini, supported by his father Vincent, has visited more than fifty agencies. Despite his challenges, he remains steadfast in pursuing his goal. During his visit, he connected with the Secaucus Fire Department, the Hudson Regional Hospital EMS, and the local police department.

The visit concluded with a meeting with Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller. Chief Miller presented Dawson with a Hudson County Chiefs of Police challenge coin and an Honorary Police Officer certificate.
