Man Robs Pennsylvania Business Demanding Box of Syringes

Wilkes-Barre, PA- Wilkes-Barre police responded to a robbery at a business on Old River Road on Monday at 10:44 AM. The suspect, identified as 19-year-old Joshua Oliver, entered the establishment and demanded syringes.

According to the victim, Oliver claimed he had a firearm in his backpack when his initial demand was refused. The victim then handed over a box of syringes, after which Oliver fled the scene.

Officers reviewed surveillance footage, confirming Oliver’s identity. As police searched the area, Oliver entered City Headquarters for a separate matter and was taken into custody for the robbery.

He is currently held for arraignment.
