Police Search for Additional Suspects After Violent DC Robbery

Washington, DC – An arrest has been made in connection with a robbery in Northwest DC, but police are still searching for two additional suspects involved in the incident.

On Tuesday, October 15, 2024, at approximately 3:53 p.m., the suspects approached the victim in the 1900 block of 14th Street, Northwest. They assaulted the victim, stole personal property, and fled the scene.

As a result of the ongoing investigation, 18-year-old Laurence Cotton-Powell of Northeast was arrested on Wednesday, October 16, and charged with robbery.

Surveillance cameras captured images of the two outstanding suspects.

Authorities urge anyone who can identify these suspects or has information about the incident to refrain from taking action but instead call police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to the Department’s TEXT TIP LINE at 50411. The Metropolitan Police Department is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of those responsible for crimes in the District of Columbia.
