Off-duty NYPD traffic agent arrested on assault charge in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — An off-duty New York City employee was arrested on Thursday in the 69th Precinct, police said. The arrest took place at approximately 11:37 a.m.

Jasmine Joseph, a 33-year-old NYPD traffic agent, was charged with second-degree assault, according to officials.

Details regarding the circumstances of the alleged assault were not immediately available. Authorities did not report any injuries related to the incident.

The case remains under investigation by the NYPD.
