Delaware State Police seek help in identifying suspects in 2023 Laurel homicide

LAUREL, Del. — Delaware State Police detectives are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying suspects involved in a fatal shooting that occurred last year in Laurel. The homicide took place on October 29, 2023, on the 500 block of West 7th Street, when 18-year-old Kylee Robinson was shot multiple times on the porch of a residence.

Officers from the Laurel Police Department and Delaware State Troopers responded to the scene at approximately 2:47 p.m. Robinson was transported to a local hospital but was later pronounced dead. Two additional victims, a 15-year-old and a 13-year-old male, were also shot and sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The Delaware State Police Homicide Unit took over the investigation, which revealed that two unidentified black male suspects approached the victims on foot and opened fire. After firing numerous rounds, the suspects fled west on foot.

Police are urging anyone with information to come forward as the investigation remains active.
