Toms River fishing derby at Veterans Park Today

TOMS RIVER, N.J. — The Toms River Fishing Derby is set to take place on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Veterans Park, according to a reminder from the Toms River Township Government.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own fishing poles, as there will be a limited supply of loaner equipment available, provided by the New Jersey Division of Fish & Wildlife. Attendees are also reminded to bring their own bait for the event.

The derby is expected to draw a number of local fishing enthusiasts, and the township encourages early arrival for those in need of equipment.

Veterans Park, a popular recreational spot in the area, will serve as the location for the community gathering. Further details about the event can be found on the township’s official social media pages.
