Philadelphia police seek suspects in August homicide investigation

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is searching for four individuals connected to the fatal shooting of a 30-year-old man in the 5400 block of Walnut Street on August 6. The incident occurred just before 1 a.m., when the victim, seated in his vehicle, was shot multiple times by occupants of a maroon Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Both the victim’s vehicle and the suspect vehicle crashed a block away. Surveillance video captured four individuals fleeing from the Jeep, which was later determined to be stolen. Two of the suspects were seen hiding on a front porch nearby in an apparent effort to evade responding officers.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are urging anyone with information to contact the Philadelphia Police Department. The City of Philadelphia is offering a reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of those responsible.
