Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest of Fentanyl Dealer

Boston, MA – Police arrested Lorenzo Myers, 37, of Boston at approximately 12:15 AM on Friday, October 18. The arrest was made by officers from District B-2 (Roxbury) on drug trafficking charges.

Officers patrolling near Tremont Street and Columbus Avenue noticed a vehicle with expired registration. They activated their cruiser’s emergency signals to execute a traffic stop.

The vehicle operator was asked to step out for towing reasons. A subsequent search of the vehicle uncovered three bags of suspected Fentanyl and a digital scale.

The search further revealed fourteen bags of Marijuana, a second scale, multiple empty bags, and $592 in cash. Myers was also carrying three bags of Crack Cocaine, with a later analysis confirming the drugs to be 31 grams of Fentanyl and 40 grams of Crack Cocaine.

Myers faced charges of Trafficking of Class A, Trafficking of Class B, and Possession with Intent to Distribute Class D. An arraignment in Roxbury District Court is anticipated.
