Delaware State Police Probe Newark Walgreens Robbery

Newark, DE- The Delaware State Police are conducting an investigation into a robbery at a Walgreen’s store in Newark.

On Tuesday, at approximately 9:20 a.m., officers responded to the Walgreen’s at 4114 Ogletown-Stanton Road following a report of a robbery. It was revealed that the incident occurred on October 9, at around 3:32 p.m., when a suspect, described as an unidentified white male, broke a display case and took merchandise. While fleeing, he threatened an employee with shooting but did not display a weapon or cause harm.

The suspect was last seen in a blue hooded sweatshirt, black knit hat, gray sweatpants, and black and white sneakers. The Delaware State Police Troop 6 continues their investigation and are seeking any witnesses or information from the public. Individuals with details are urged to contact Senior Corporal A.
