Machete Weilding Man Terrorizes Victim in Wilkes-Barre

WILKES-BARRE, Pa. — Police are investigating an attempted assault involving a machete that occurred late Friday evening on South Franklin Street, according to a report from the Wilkes-Barre City Police Department.

A 21-year-old male victim reported the incident to police after arriving at City Headquarters. The victim stated that while seated in a parked vehicle in the 400 block of South Franklin Street, an individual identified only as “Angel” opened the passenger side door and raised a machete above his head.

The vehicle’s driver quickly left the scene, and no injuries were reported. The victim did not provide further details about the suspect beyond the name “Angel.”

The investigation into the incident is ongoing, police said.
