Police seek suspects in armed robbery outside Dumfries motel

DUMFRIES, Va. — Authorities are investigating an armed robbery that took place early Saturday morning outside a Motel 6 on Dumfries Road.

Officers responded to the motel, located at 17133 Dumfries Rd., at approximately 5:56 a.m. on October 19, 2024. According to the investigation, a 56-year-old man was assisting a woman with a broken-down vehicle when an unknown man approached him.

The male suspect brandished a firearm and demanded the victim’s property before fleeing the area with the woman. The victim was not injured during the incident, but his phone and money were reported stolen.

The male suspect is described as a white male with a medium build, goatee, and mustache. The female suspect is described as a white female with a medium build and long blonde hair.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspects’ identities or whereabouts to contact law enforcement.
