Philadelphia police investigate shooting of 16-year-old in North Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA — The Philadelphia Police Department’s Shooting Investigations Group is investigating a shooting that left a 16-year-old male in critical but stable condition Monday night in North Philadelphia.

The shooting occurred at approximately 8:24 p.m. at the intersection of North 27th Street and West Oakdale Street, according to police. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to his left knee and was transported by officers to Temple University Hospital.

The scene has been secured, but no arrests have been made, and no weapons were recovered, authorities said.
