HOWELL TOWNSHIP, N.J. — A brush fire erupted on Sunday near the intersection of Route 547 and Oak Glen Road, according to local authorities. The Howell Township Police Department reported that several township fire companies were actively on the scene, working to contain the blaze.

The fire was first reported around midday, with officials advising the public to avoid the area due to ongoing emergency operations. “Multiple Howell fire companies are on scene and operating in the area,” the department stated through its social media channels, alerting residents to the situation.
