Manhunt underway for vehicle linked to Savannah Street Shooting

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Authorities are seeking assistance in identifying a vehicle believed to be connected to a Sunday afternoon shooting in Southeast Washington, which left one man injured, officials announced Monday.

The incident occurred around 3:40 p.m. on October 27 in the 2200 block of Savannah Street, SE. Responding officers found an adult male who was conscious and alert but had suffered a gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

A nearby surveillance camera captured images of a vehicle associated with the incident, and police have released photos of the car in an effort to gather information from the public. Investigators are hoping someone will recognize the vehicle and come forward.
