Three teens arrested for robbery at Bethesda store

BETHESDA, Md. — Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with a strong-arm robbery at the Tobacco and More Mart in Bethesda, according to Montgomery County Police. The suspects, aged 14, 15, and 16, were taken into custody following the incident on Tuesday, October 22.

Officers from the 2nd District responded to the 7800 block of Old Georgetown Road around 9:34 a.m. after receiving a report of a robbery in progress. According to detectives, the three suspects entered the store, took property, and attempted to leave. When an employee intervened, the 16-year-old suspect allegedly struck the employee in the head before fleeing with the stolen items.

Police quickly located the suspects, who matched the descriptions provided, and arrested them without further incident. The three teens were charged with robbery and later released to their primary caregivers. The investigation remains ongoing.
