HARRISBURG, PA — Pennsylvania Attorney General Michelle Henry has announced an investigation into possible cases of voter registration fraud in several counties, assuring residents that the state’s safeguards are actively preventing fraudulent activities. Henry’s office is working with local officials in Berks, Lancaster, Monroe, and York counties following reports of apparent attempts to submit fraudulent voter registration forms.
The Attorney General’s office clarified that these investigations are focused solely on registration forms, not on any ballots, and that the collaborative approach with county district attorneys aims to enforce the state Election Code strictly. Henry stated, “These attempts have been thwarted by the safeguards in place in Pennsylvania. We are working every day with our partners to ensure a fair, free, and safe election.”
The ongoing investigations aim to identify and prosecute those responsible for fraudulent registrations. For voters who registered before the state’s deadline, the assurance is that they will have the opportunity to vote on Election Day. Should any eligible voter find their registration unlisted, they are entitled to submit a provisional ballot.
