Teen charged with attempted murder in August shooting in Baltimore

Baltimore, MD — A 19-year-old has been arrested and charged with attempted first-degree murder in connection with the August shooting of a 17-year-old girl in the Northwest District. Investigators identified Rashaad Wilson as the suspect in the August 16 incident, where he allegedly shot the young woman in the 3800 block of Chatham Road.

The shooting occurred around 4:57 p.m., when Northwest District patrol officers responded to reports of gunfire and discovered the victim inside a residence with a gunshot wound to her upper body. She was transported to an area hospital and was later reported to be in stable condition.

Following an investigation, detectives were able to link Wilson to the shooting, leading to his arrest on October 28. He has been charged with attempted first-degree murder and is currently being held without bail at the Central Booking Intake Facility.

Police are continuing their investigation and have not yet released further details regarding the motive or circumstances surrounding the shooting.
