Freehold Vegan Restaurant that Featured Dandelions on Menu Shuts Down

Gray Leaf Cafe, the beloved vegan spot in Poets Square, has officially closed its doors as of October 26. The cafe was the latest venture from Vincent Gulino, the force behind the plant-based food truck Try Vegan, which has been delighting foodies for nearly a decade. While Gray Leaf was short-lived, it quickly earned a dedicated fanbase thanks to its vibrant plant-based menu and warm, welcoming vibe.

Gulino shared the news in a heartfelt social media post, thanking the community for its incredible support. “Sometimes, life throws curveballs from directions you didn’t see coming,” he wrote, hinting that the decision to close wasn’t easy but was, perhaps, unavoidable.

Gray Leaf’s closure leaves a noticeable gap for vegan food lovers in the area. But with Gulino’s track record and passion for plant-based dining, who knows what he might cook up next? Whether he returns to the food truck scene or launches another concept, his fans are likely to follow.
