STAFFORD, Va. — A woman was arrested on Halloween night after a report of erratic driving led deputies to a Burger King on Warrenton Road, where she was found in the drive-thru line displaying signs of intoxication, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Around 9:10 p.m., a caller alerted authorities about a Toyota swerving on Warrenton Road and running a red light. Sergeant E.E. West located the vehicle in the drive-thru line at Burger King, where the driver stumbled out of her car, causing suspected drug paraphernalia to fall to the ground.

After observing signs of intoxication, Sgt. West conducted field sobriety tests, which the driver failed. She was taken into custody and charged with driving under the influence, possession of controlled substances, reckless driving, and failure to obey a traffic light.

The suspect was booked into Rappahannock Regional Jail on a $2,000 secured bond. Authorities have not released the driver’s name or further details about the case.
