Utica man arrested in Holland Avenue stabbing incident

UTICA, N.Y. — A Utica man has been arrested in connection with a stabbing that left a woman injured on November 1, according to the Utica Police Department. Emergency responders from Utica Police and Utica Fire were dispatched to a residence on the 1600 block of Holland Avenue, where they found a female victim suffering from a puncture wound to the chest. She was transported to Wynn Hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Following an investigation, police identified 50-year-old Carl Stanley of Utica as the suspect. On November 4, members of the Warrants Unit located and arrested Stanley. He has been charged with assault in the second degree and criminal possession of a weapon in the fourth degree
