Police on the lookout for suspect in two violent attacks in D.C.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — The D.C. Metro Police Department is seeking the public’s help to identify a suspect in two sexual abuse incidents that occurred in Northwest Washington over the past weekend. Both incidents involved a male suspect with a handgun.

The first incident took place early Friday morning, November 1, at approximately 5:00 a.m., in the 1400 block of Ogden Street, NW. Police report that the suspect approached a woman, brandished a firearm, and made unwanted sexual contact before fleeing.

A second, similar incident was reported on Sunday, November 3, also around 5:00 a.m. in the 4500 block of 15th Street, NW. The suspect allegedly forced a woman into an alley at gunpoint and engaged in an unwanted sexual act before escaping.

The suspect is described as a Black male, thin build, between 5’8″ and 5’10”, last seen wearing dark clothing and a ski mask, and armed with a handgun.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the police at (202) 727-9099 or text tips to 50411. The MPD is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in these cases.
