Cumberland, MD – On Saturday, the Cumberland Police Department made several arrests involving charges ranging from court violations to drug possession. Devin Terrell Joyner, 45, of Cumberland, was apprehended following an active Bench Warrant from Allegany County Circuit Court issued on October 23. The warrant accused Joyner of breaching a court order related to a past assault conviction, and Joyner is now being held at the Allegany County Detention Center without bond. During his arrest, authorities discovered suspected fentanyl, crack cocaine, and MDMA in his possession, resulting in multiple criminal citations for CDS possession.

In a separate incident on the same day, police responded to a reported assault at a residence in the 500 block of Essex Place. Officers interviewed the victim, who showed visible facial injuries and claimed the argument started over a purse. The suspect, Janell Marie Coffman, 35, allegedly struck the victim in the face. Coffman was subsequently arrested and later released on a $2,500 unsecured bond after her initial appearance before a District Court Commissioner.
