Double shooting in Baltimore leaves one critically injured

BALTIMORE — Two people were hospitalized Wednesday morning after a double shooting in Baltimore’s Eastern District, authorities said.

Patrol officers responded to a ShotSpotter alert at approximately 10:43 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Montford Avenue, where they found a 30-year-old woman and a 29-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds.

Emergency medical teams transported both victims to area hospitals for treatment. Police said the condition of one of the victims is critical, prompting homicide detectives to join the investigation.

The circumstances leading up to the shooting remain under investigation, and no information about potential suspects has been released.
