Two New Jersey lottery players win over $1 million in weekend jackpots

TRENTON, NJ — Two New Jersey Lottery players struck it big over the weekend, each winning more than $1 million in major lottery prizes, officials announced.

On Saturday, November 9, a lucky ticket purchased at the Quick Stop on 886 W. Bay Ave. in Barnegat won $1 million in the Powerball drawing. Although no player claimed the Powerball jackpot, which now stands at $103 million, two additional New Jersey players in Bergen and Somerset counties each took home $50,000 in secondary prizes.

The winning streak continued on Sunday, November 10, when a Jersey Cash 5 ticket sold at New Bergen Liquor on 230 Kearny Ave. in Kearny, Hudson County, hit the jackpot. The winning ticket was worth more than $1 million, and the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot has now reset to $150,000 for the next drawing on Monday.

The New Jersey Lottery is reminding players to check their tickets and claim any prizes won.
