NEW KENSINGTON, Pa. — A New Kensington man is facing multiple charges after police say he threatened his neighbor with a firearm during an argument. Jacob Recker, 26, was charged with terroristic threats, simple assault, and disorderly conduct following the incident on the 200 block of Sixth Avenue.
Police responded to the residence after receiving a report of a dispute between neighbors in the multi-tenant house. According to the victim, Recker had been making noise and banging on walls, prompting the victim to approach the landlord to complain.
During the confrontation, Recker allegedly approached the victim, pointed a firearm, and stated, “I don’t fight anymore; I just shoot. So, go upstairs or I will shoot you,” according to the police report.
Officers later executed a search warrant at Recker’s apartment, where they located a 9mm pistol in the living room that matched the description provided by witnesses.
Recker is currently being held at Westmoreland County Prison on $100,000 bail. The investigation is ongoing.
