Waldorf Resident Wins $150,000 in Powerball

Powerball lottery tickets

Hughesville, MD – A resident from Waldorf has won $150,000 with a Powerball quick-pick ticket, using the Power Play feature to amplify his winnings. Regularly playing lottery games such as Mega Millions and Powerball, the Charles County man has experienced previous successes with back-to-back $30 Pick 4 bets.

He bought the winning ticket at NSR Mart / Corner Xpress on Leonardtown Road in Hughesville for the Saturday drawing. Opting for quick pick numbers for two of three games, he added $1 Power Play and $1 Double Play options for increased winning opportunities.

The following day, he discovered his win upon scanning the $12 ticket at the retailer. By matching four white balls and the Powerball, he secured a $50,000 prize, which the Power Play option tripled.

Employed in logistics for 29 years and a fan of vintage cars, the winner plans to use the prize to pay off credit card debts. Notably, this marks the 54th third-tier Powerball ticket sold in Maryland this year.
